is it possible to convert my source files into an EXE?
is it possible to convert my source files into an EXE?
You could compile and link them.
this might sound pathetic but, how do i link?
You need a compiler and a linker. For Windows I suggest DevC++ (IDE and compiler/linker) or Borland 5.5 Command Tools (compiler/linker)...
[C++]
IDE: DevC++ 4.9.9.2 (GCC 3.4.2)
2nd compiler: g++ (GCC 3.4.3/4.0.0)
3rd compiler: Borland 5.5
[C#]
IDE: Microsoft Visual C# Express 2005
2nd IDE: SharpDevelop
2nd compiler: csc in Command Prompt
.NET Framework: 2.0
[PHP]
Core: 5.1.0 beta 3
IDE: PHPEdit
2nd IDE: Notepad
Favourite extensions: exif,gd2,mysql
Favourite PEAR packages: DB, XML_RSS, ID3
Favourite databases: SQLite, MySQL
If you've ever run one of your programs, you've created an EXE. What compiler are you using, and under which OS?

im using DevC++ and Windows 2000
Well then, open a Windows explorer window, and navigate to where you saved your source file. In the same directory, there will be an EXE with the same name as your source file. So if you saved hippo.cpp, there will be a hippo.exe. Double-click on it to run it. Or give it to your friends.
