Yes, that's scary. To be honest with you, before I was 14, I knew NOTHING. I dont even remember anything about it. I was content to live my horrible life of sitting around, staring at the walls. I didn't touch a computer til I was like 13, and I didn't get one til I was almost 15. Then, I got good at animation, and some programming, which pretty much brings me up to date.
When I was five, I just sat around drawing pictures of Mario all day, and being an idiot. How can a five-year-old be computer smart? I boggles my mind! Most of them cant even read!
Wow. My life sucked.
PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!

That's pretty much like me, Krak. I remember like back in 7th grade I know idea what the Internet was even like. It was all one big huge mystery to me. Even in the summer before 10th grade I didn't even know how to use WinZip. But within like 2 months of my sophomore year I learned a lot, and now I even know more. Woohoo...well ok not really but it's still better than before.
Also, happy bday to ya!
Bah, I grew up on King's Quest 1. I learned to read and write from it when I was 4. Those were the good old DOS days! I used to have to cd through directories (*tear* memories), none of that bull**** point-and-click stuff. We didn't even have a mouse! I used to think I was so smart cuz I could spell door right to get into the castle in KQ 1 and I could get past the questions at the start of Leisure Suit Larry (after multiple tries each time I ran the program, of course ).
Ahhh, memories.

Ahh yes, the good ol' Dos days. Back then, the top-notch computers could barely run a decent game in Windows mode without lagging badly. I guess that's the reason why I used Dos.
But I cant compete with the 5 year old... lol. When I was 5, I did jackcrap... spending hours on end testing different paper aeroplane designs... getting told off by my dad for not being able to tie my shoelace... etc etc
Earliest contact I had with computers was when I was 9. I guess thats pretty average by today's standards.

I, also, remember when I was likei n 3rd grade when my family had an extremely slow Macintosh. The only game we ever really played on it was Sim Life (I think that was the game?). Well, once our world got really big and near full the saved game file would be so huge. I remember I would start to load the game, then I would go play basketball for about an hour, and by the time I got back the loading would be nearly done. It was actually a pretty good routine, but uh I'm glad I don't have to do anything like that anymore.
Oh yeah, when I was five I would spend saturday mornings watching ninja turtles. Then after watching them I would try do some roundhouses and things like that. It was pretty sweet! When I wasn't watching ninja turtles I was probably playing with them. The ninja turtles will never be beat; they're the coolest guys ever without a doubt.
My first memory of computing is being sat at a Spectrum [or some similar old fashioned computer] when I was about 3. It had some sort of disney game, with snakes. My first internet memory was reading some usenet channel in dos.
Bleh.
amatuers. When I was 2 and a half years old, I began work on making a revolutionary piece of software called "linux", and then that ***** Linus beat me up and stole my source code.
