The only way I know of is to have some sort of Quality of Service (QoS) software on your gateway router that can give move bandwidth to certain computers or applications.
Yaeh....but The thing is that I want my internet and downloads to be a lot faster, and it hs to be done without the administrator knowing

I would just get GETRIGHT downloader, that can speed up your downloads b/c it allows you to segment the DL.
Your work may be using a Managed SWITCH that can probably limit the bandwith to each section so I don't know what you could do with that.

I use imsh and download accelerator...Wan't an app to steal bandwidth from the network...

There's not really a way to 'steal' bandwidth from a network other than unplugging the other nodes and I don't think your employer would really like that.
You could always get your own T-1 to your desk
He wouldn't know...believe me.I don't think your employer would really like that.
guess I'll have to stick with what io have...

Well here is a utility..This is not usefull if the network bandwidth is limited... But works if other users on the network have been assigned more bandwidth.. The server has to be installed on the other PC and the client needs to run on you PC.. so when you use the net. your net trafic is routed through the other PC running the server.. thus giving you the bandwidth of the other pC.. but the speed between your PC and the other has to be verry fast.. The utility name is iShare.
I have to put up with slow everything at school because we have 16 workstations on one switch and at least one person in my class likes to watch videos while having music going. Between that and the poorly setup network, bandwidth just dies.

My school has an approximately 25MByte/s connection.
Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah
