    Beginners Programming Team

Hi! My name is Mihai and I am programming in C since 2014 summer. I learnt a lot of things, but now, I want to experience what I learnt in a team project. So, if there are some beginners who want to work in a team project, let me know and we will find something to work on!

    I have already some ideas:
    - a console game
    - a HTML to text converter
    - a spelling checker
    - a school/bank virtual database

    Regards!

The sad thing is, although I have plenty of experience with C, I have almost none with group projects. I would like to help you, but I don't know how good I'd be. In that respect, I'm a beginner too.

That said, I happen to know at least some of the theory behind teamwork, and need to tell you that it won't be easy( but hey, what is? )

For example, the team needs ways to communicate like message boards, IRC, Skype, etc.
A code repository needs to be set up, like git or svn, for providing access to all the co-developers. For people who are far apart, hosting sites such as github or sourceforge need to be used.
There needs to be a (well thought) plan about what to do a.k.a "the requirements".
There needs to be coordination between the members, so as not to waste time developing the same thing.
The primary function of teamwork is concurrency. You do something, while I do something else, and we merge our code in the end. Should there be coding rules/standards/"guidelines"?
And many other things I can't think of right now.

All in all, count me in if you decide to do this.

Yea. You're right. So, for communication we can use Google Hangouts or Skype. For code, we will use GitHub (I will create an organization if i get enough people). When we are enough, we will decide what will be first project and I will lead the group and I will divide the tasks and others. Please give me your email (if you have a google one, is very good).

You can find me on github with nickname GReaperEx. Skype too, same nick. I can't pm you since you're a new member, and I don't want to weep out my email for everyone to see, you see.

On a side note, how many do you think will volunteer? From personal experience, I'd say not many( not even a few ). And most of the ones that do won't have the nerve required to continue helping. It's a messed up world, I tell you. But don't let my words discourage you.

I'm quite a beginner and would like to join the experiment, if it weren't for the fact that I'm on neither site.
Let me know when work is starting on the project. Maybe I'll create a Skype account.

I have another project idea you can add to your list. We could try to extract the Pokedex entries from the various GBA games and create our own dex with a simple search engine.
