Hello everyone! So, now that I'm about to head off to college, my parents and I thought it suitable for me to get a little summer job to help pay for expenses. I am very lazy and am having to come out of my shell to finally learn how the world works. It's difficult but it can and must be done. Recently, I went to a friend of the family who owns a religious gift and bookstore and they need a website built. Technology-wise, I know I am able to complete whatever needs to be done, but society-wise, I am a completely ignorant fool. Talking to people directly has always came easily to me, but conversing is a completely different story. I don't even know the average prices for the cost of web design or the maintenance of the website itself. I know it's based on quality of the work required and I have looked at highly varying prices on all kinds of sites. It's just really interesting how things work and how much change is required to go from a kid to an adult, and it's hitting me like a ton of bricks xD
Can I get some opinions on average price for basic sites for small companies like bookstores and churches? Words of wisdom and advice from those who have been there and done that, etc?
