thanks. i would like to get that visual studio 6.0, i think it brings fox pro 6 ect.. right?
...you got that birthday present a little while ago :P
Snoop
were you bought your Visual Studio 6.0 cd?
Snoop
yup when visual c++ 6.0 first came out i bother my parents for a very long time....and yes it comes with foxpro (i never used it) :P
just used visual basic and visual c++ hehehe...i think you can get visual c++ 6.0 pro by itself for $100 or the new c++.net for $100
but free is always good!

way back then it was really expensive...now you can find it on ebay.com do a search for "visual studio" or other places...alot of softare outlets sell them amazon.com i think....

you should try fox pro i heard is really good. ok i want to know were i can find a C tutorial because i jumped right in on C++ and dint have the time to look for a C tutorial thats why some things on c++ are confusing. And can i compile a C code on a c++ compiler?
Snoop
from what i heard c++ compilers are backwards compatible meaning they can compile c and c++ code. and do a search on the web for "c tutorials" like on google.com, but c++ classes are so powerful...i am still feeling it it hurts my brain from what classes can do especially inheritance, virtual, and polymorphism... :P
also jumping right into c++ is good...you dont need to go back to c if you never learn c before dont go learn c, just learn c++.
i have an e-book for c++ if you want it..its on my computer at home...email me at [email protected] and i mail you the e-book

ok. but i though if u learn C first then when you go to c++ is gonna be easier and more understandable, because you already when threw the basic of C. Well i guess i'll continue learning c++ for now
Snoop
i never learn c, and never will. i started with c++ and within 5 months...got to mfc..its not that hard 1-2 hours a day and you get there..nice website...lol...
and remember practice makes perfect...you cant one day wake up and be a good programmer..it takes time just like anything else..i think i am very good at programming, but yet everyday i learn something new about c++ whether its from programming, people, etc.

you are at a place that has C tutorials:
http://www.cprogramming.com
"There are three kinds of people in the world...
Those that can count and those that can't."
yeah. Iam gonna practice hard with c++, and try to learn all the things i can about this programming language. You know what mIRC is right? if so do you have mIRC? if you do i'll give ya a server were i hang out and we can talk there.
