First reply after 12 hours. And that too useless.
If you don't want to help then please don't.

I found this page within minutes by following the link, clicking on the first result, and then looking around to see what MSDN had to offer. If GReaper's reply is useless, it is because your information finding skills severely need to be improved.Originally Posted by freiza

You are just taking side of your old fellow.
He just provided me a link of visual studio ide.
And even you didn't provided me any link.
If I was able to search it myself, I wouldn't have posted it in the forum in first place.
And think this way. If you had some problem and I just throw a google link in your post would you accept it with joy?
You can find each and every answer in Google. Then what's is the point of having forums in first place?
Or rather, an indirect link to a search result page for a list of related results. There is a good reason why I stated that "I am currently looking at a list of linker options for Visual Studio 2010": sometimes, "obvious" search terms don't actually lead one to a result from which the desired information can be found. However, with a little common sense for clicking further, this one did.Originally Posted by freiza
Refer to your thread on Function pointer and Member function pointer usage? As mentioned, I did a quick search and provided you with a link. Since you did not learn to search before asking, providing you with yet another link merely encourages laziness. Hence, I deliberately did not provide you with a link.Originally Posted by freiza
Did you actually try searching? What did you search for? Among the results that you received, what did you investigate?Originally Posted by freiza
Yes, if the link readily leads me to a result from which I can solve my problem.Originally Posted by freiza

If you consider "Use Google with commonsense" a help. Can I help every other post in this forum in similar way?
Btw, your last post in Function pointer helped me. Thank You
And why do you think, I didn't googled it first. Ofcourse I did. But didn't get what I wanted.

Only if the OP is lazy enough to post a question without doing some research.
Btw, it'll help you in future if you read this before asking more questions like this.( How To Ask Questions The Smart Way )
Can I assume every OP to be lazy just like everyone else is thinking same for me?Only if the OP is lazy enough to post a question without doing some research.
Great, I got plethora of Guidance on how to ask and search.
But my question till unanswered. That's okay. I will get my answer somewhere else.
Not until you have developed proper searching skills so you can determine when something really can be readily found by "using Google with common sense", and when it can't or requires elaboration.Originally Posted by freiza
Put it this way: if you had prefaced your post #1 by stating that you have looked at MSDN but couldn't find anything related, then obviously just telling you to search for "Visual C++ 2010 IDE" would not help.

I agree on this point. But I never thought that my post will produce so much inflation.Put it this way: if you had prefaced your post #1 by stating that you have looked at MSDN but couldn't find anything related, then obviously just telling you to search for "Visual C++ 2010 IDE" would not help.
But you must also agree. Just blatantly stating "Use Google" without knowing OP's situation is not good either.
Look, I am a slow learner and not a spammer. And I have learnt a lot from this forum and I am not here to irritate any of you. But assuming someone lazy is just not acceptable.
Yeah, but GReaper did not just say "use Google". There was a link and it led to a results page. Have you tried any of the results yet? If so, which one did you try?Originally Posted by freiza
This are the pages I visited, one link leading to another:
Google result page (Visual C++ 2010 IDE)
Visual Studio 2010 Product Highlights (top search result)
Visual Studio 2010
Managing Solutions, Projects, and Files
Creating and Managing Visual C++ Projects
Building a C/C++ Program
C/C++ Building Reference
Linking
Linker Options

Tried all. But none was useful for me.
I found this two links useful for me
Pragma Directive:
Pragma Directives (C/C++)
Def files:
Module-Definition (.Def) Files
But still searching for the page where I can manually set linker settings in IDE.
Modifying Project settings:
Modifying Project Settings
But I want an alternative link for this one. Because I am not able to understand MSDN for modifying project setting.
And also alternative for this too.
Building on the Command Line
So, basically I need other tutorial for Modifying project setting, building on the command line and setting linker option in IDE and what does these linker settings do.
