    >no-one, your post relies entirely on your assumption that Superman is bound by the laws of physics. I'm not certain this is the case, as evidenced by him flying outside of the universe.
    <

apparent i should have elaborated on where Superman gets his powers..
Superman gets his "super powers" from the solar radiation... of our YELLOW sun... so he as soon as he's "so far" away from a yellow star he loses his powers and explodes in deep space... even Superman has his limits... jeez. n00b.

I think I saw an article on /. about someone speeding up the speed of light. I just glanced over it, I could be wrong.

i've seen it too from somewhere else... didnt say much about making it faster though just that they did...

    big bang stuff

TECHNICALLY if the "big bang" were the creation of the universe then one could argue that the laws of physics were not completely in play/existant yet BUT THEN you have to go before the "big bang" and ask what caused that and by what physical laws(and where did those come from) was it even possible?! and did those laws change after? depending on which of the many "big bang" theories you read it is a big confusing cyclic self destructive(literally) mess... that requires the laws of physics and universal constants to have been varied or different before and directly after the big bang. and there's really no way of knowing... and i am very wary of the science that says the so called "laws" of physics had to have changed in the past so current theory's can make sense... if the laws of physics are ........ing laws then make theories that work in those bounds and dont require "scientific miracles" to work... unless they have sufficient weight to disprove these "laws" and then they wouldn't be laws now would they?

edit: i could be wrong though... my "big bang" knowledge is probably a little out of date?

edit: but then if matter were the same just in a different form before the big bang then wouldn't it also be feasible that the laws of physics were they same under siginificantly different circumstances they were "warped"/"altered", before/during the big bangs EXTREME conditions... but this would lead to the fact that they could again be altered if the circumstances could be recreated or simulated, and in this context meaning that relativivity is false under the right circumstances, and they [the physical laws] are only applicable in the current universal state, which is out or our realm of understanding...
