Berman is attempting to pass a bill allowing companies holding copyrights to stop p2p users as they see fit. Including hacking, attacking, etc. I don't see this getting passed, but voice your opinion!

I sent in my letter, they sent me one saying it wasn't of any concern to them....
You didn't tell them your age, did you?

no :P I told them that i'm 24, which is better then 18 as far as they are concerned. I guess they just don't care.
You support vendor manipulation, so if this is the case where you are trying to support freedom, than that's too bad. You're out of luck. Your brain is not attached to your body.

ride_or_die:
who did you send a letter to? what state do you live in? what did they say, exaclty? if you tried to e-mail berman himself, and you don't live in california, then he might've dismissed you because you're not part of his constituency.
i emailed my senator, i live in NJ.
They said, and i quote:
"We are not interested in this matter at this time."
Have they? And as Berman himself points out, these peer-to-peer networks have many legitimate, non-infringing uses.

Well as a computer enthusiast i would not like the bill.. But when i think myself as a programmer writing programs in the future i do support the bill...
I could see something like this being passed in the future... but not now.
I have the same feeling when it comes to downloading music/software. But i mean, u can't stop it so why think too much on it. The only time i consider "piracy" is when a company has a product i need that i honestly is seriously over priced. My first choice is always to purchase the product.Well as a computer enthusiast i would not like the bill.. regardless of whether p2p is good/bad, this is vigalanteeism (sp?)
hello, internet!
I LOVE to download FREE programs, but it's not RIGHT.
They are offering good programs, although expensive but GREAT
