whenever i start my turbo c++ 3.0 , sometimes its starts beeping.
also, command prompt window is opened( in the background)which contains the output of all programs for time i have worked.
is there some problem with the installation?
i would also like to know where we have to give the path of library
(containing header file and all...) after installation.
kindly give me some tips !!

Probably because it's the one first used by some ill-informed professor and they refuse to change (or tried and all their buggy code stopped working, so they blamed the compiler).
Or because some "teach yourself" book lists it as a compiler, or includes it on a cover disk.
