Update cursor coords right side of menu bar?

I currently have the cursor coordinates updated at the lower left corner of the client area and it works correctly but I think I would like to have it displayed on the right hand side of the menu bar. How would I go about this? (see attachment)

I tried Append menu but this puts the coordinates adjacent to my Help menu and is not what I want.

Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.

Now I know I have seen most retail programs use a dockable menu for things like this but for now I would like to keep things a little simpler and concentrate on getting my main program functionality first.

Easy to use, can be divided into parts and where most programs display these things.
