I am learning from Petzold. It is a great teaching book, but not really a good reference. Does anybody know of a quick Win32 API reference book? Thanks!

Although it's not a book, MSDN will be hard to beat.
erghh, i hate msdn - i find the search utility useless and all the info overcomplicated.
there are two ranges of book i find really usefull ( those rare books that dont assume you are a technical genius or a moron)
the From The Ground Up Series
and the ............ Complete series

Yeah, I've heard of "Programming Windows From the Ground Up". But, is it a reference or a teaching book?

I dont know is it is 'possible' withou spending a lifetime writing it to beat MSDN fora refrence, you simpyl need to know hoe to ue it if it's the website... and the CD / CD's... well thats so easy....

Yeah, I want to get the CD, but I don't know where. In the back of my Petzold book, I can get if for free, but it expired in 1999

If you can get hold of VS.NET beta 2 anywhere, then that comes with MSDN, but I'm not sure if it's still available from MS . Or you can get it with any retail version of MSVC 6.0.
