writing bots for the first time

I wanna start to write bots (eg. for programs such as MSN, or even for games) but I have no idea where to start. I know how to write programs in Win2 and DirectX (yes, and console mode) and have a competent understanding of C++. Does anybody have any links or information that I might fins useful?

Do not bump your threads. (ISTR you having be warned about this before). If you do it again, I will simply delete them.

There are bots for Starcraft TM (Blizzard Entertainment) that have links to the sites of the programmers who made them. Download some of them and see who you can email.
Sorry, but I don't have any sites for you. Just search for "Bnet Bots" on Google.

    >>> bump? do you mean say stuff like "anybody"...etc...?

If you like. Some people just type "bump", or at least they did before we jumped on it. What it does is move your thread to the top of the list, i.e. over people who wait patiently.

It can often take a day or more to get a reply here, asking again after a couple of hours is only likely to irritate people. Do you really want to irritate the people who you are asking to help you?
