    DLL Injection

i read about this registry key

    hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\
    windows nt\currentversion\windows\appinit_dlls

if you register a dll there, then windows will load it in every process created after the system is rebooted

but this key is present only on nt-based windows OSes
is there a registry key with the same purpose on windows 9x/me ??

Now you see what we have here is what's known as "evolution". It goes a little something like this:-

    Windows NT > Windows 9x

So no, you can't expect every version of Windows to allow you to do the same thing, otherwise Microsoft would be rather destitute by now.

You're just gonna have to do it yourself.
