    restoring graphis toolbar

I was ditseling around with some image manipulation in VC++ using the image editor and elected to close the graphics toolbar and color palette so I'd have more room to visualize the image. The help file said all I'd have to do is right click over the area of the toolbar and it would become active again. Hasn't worked though. I can work around the problem using keyboard short cuts, but it's pretty clunky. Anybody know what else I could try to get the graphics editor to become visible again?

Open a graphics object, an icon for example, the "Image" item appears on the top level menu, "Image->Show Colors Window" toggles the colour picker.

View->Toolbars or Tools->Customize->Toolbars will toggle toolbar settings.

Tools->Customize... , then toolbars tab and check appropriate boxes worked for both graphics toolbar and color pallete. Thanks!

I was thinking "customize" implied creating your own toolbar, etc. rather than toggling already existing options for prewritten tools. I appreciate your help.
