    Checking a path's credentials

    Hello,

What's the best way to verify the existance of a file given a path, short of opening it? Would GetFileSize(...) suffice?

GetFileSize requires a handle of an opened file. So you will have to open it anyway. You might look into something like FindFile I can check on the exact name when I get home.

FindFirstFile may be the right function.
