Thread: Question about MVC++

Hello all, I hope to join your world of programming soon.

I have a question that's bugging me for some time. Someone told me when I visited an old forum I forgot the name of it, but he said that Microsoft Visual C++ Standard doesn't really do good with Windows Programming in C++. I have the Standard version, and I wanted to ask you all if it is no good in programming, or if it's decent, or is this guy who told me Standard version of Microsoft Visual C++ is no good for Windows programming (He suggested I move up to Professional version, but I don't want to shell out extra cash unless necessary.)

You will do just fine with the standard version until you start to do enterprise programing and datebases. And it work great with windows, it's written by the same company that writes windows. big part of windows is written with MSVC.
