    Arrow VB.net IDE

Hi,I have been gifted 2 books by a couple of friends of mine on my b'day on VB.net. However, the Visual Basic.net pro. edition CD costs Rs.8000(I'm Indian). That is a lot of money for me and when I approached MS for a concession, they hung up on me.Please direct me to a free/cheaper IDE.

I did.I also asked them whether the IDE can be used for VB.net,they replied that it is best suited for C#.net.The IDE cannot create VB.net forms. However, thanks a lot for your help.I really appreciate it.

Despite what the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language states, "gifted" isn't a verb.

I'm Indian,we use the British dictionary and "gifted" is very much a verb in it.
By the way, when did this board change its motive from solving IT problems to checking one's grammar???

Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

This post is way off topic...if it continues like this, it goes to trash...

bookworm...if you are a registered IT student, you may be able to get some sort of concession on the software via your university....if not, then you would have to pay the asking price
