    Help coding in Windows XP

Hi! I just got a new computer, and it had Windows XP installed. Previously, I had been using Dev C++ version 4 for C++ development. I do not wish to use the BETA version to obtain Windows XP support. Can someone please direct me to a page containing informaiton reguarding a compiler that will work with Windows XP? Please keep in mind that I would like it to be a free compiler. I had heard that Microsoft released free commmand line tool. Is this true? Thanks for all of your help! ^_^

Dev-C++ version 4 is fully compliant with Windows XP.

In addition, the beta 5 versions are reportedly very stable.
