    GetVolumeInformation() and mother board designation

    if "C:\\" designates the C drive, what is the designation for the motherboard. Is it "motherboard"?

    I want to get the seial number for something stationary on a machine in a network. I thought the motherboard would be good if possible, if not the BIOS serial number should work just as well.

    Look for the MAC address as is unique to the adaptor (modem / NIC).

    Can you give me more detail on how to look for the MAC address?
    What function do I use, GetAddress()?
