How to install GMP on Windows?

I have never installed a library written by someone else before and not sure what the first steps are? I know I need to download the files from The GNU MP Bignum Library I have Mingw installed on 64bit Windows. How can I finally get to use its integer functions in a program I am developing?

Did you download and install MinGW manually or through some installer?

In the first case you'd probably need to download and install GMP manually too. Go here, download the source and follow the instructions.

In the second case, maybe your installer had some additional options to download certain packages? Maybe it has GMP somewhere in there as an option.

I installed GMP using the MinGW installer so that's done. Now I can't figure out how to actually configure Netbeans to use it?
