    I don't think there is a correlation betwean how good a programmer is and what library they use. Just because a person chooses to use a library that is easier than the native way does not mean they can't learn the native way and become very good at it either. Granted it will probably take more time (only natural, more complex means more time needed to be speant). After all, they had to learn to use the easy library, so what is there to say they can't learn to use the native way?
