    7.1 onboard audio is just standard equipment. You'll have difficulties finding a board without onboard sound. I think the best hint for being a server board is the RAID controller.

    I have no idea what kind of computer would need four PCI-E 16x slots.

    I don't know the specifics of running multiple displays but at work, we have these huuuuge glass coating machines that are in the 10s of millions for cost. Each has a control booth that has about 4-5 people operating it. They have a 50" main LCD, a couple 32" smaller LCDs and then a good 10 15-20" LCDs. There is also a maintenance console outside the coater's main control booth where there is a wall of, once again, around 10-15 LCDs. One section of the maintenance console has 4 screens running what appears to be one piece of software. It represents a piece of glass going through the coater. They need 4 displays running off from one program/video card to do this cause the coater is so long and the individual components on the screen are so small.
