    C and C#

What's the difference between C and C#? I had always thought it was the same language until about a month ago when i saw someone asking which they should program in.

Well, C# is completely different from C. But still C# inherits from C and C++. The basic idea is that C# was introduced by Microsoft against the Java.

And more over C# is more into object oriented programming where as C is not. If you know how to program Java, may be the C# would be much similar.

People often say this but I don't agree. While it shares a lot of Java's ideas, it really was intended to be the primary language for access to the .NET framework. .NET of course is not intendend to replace Java, but it is supposed to replace the Win32 API. C# is actually a nifty little language.

Well, ya true. I read about that in an article some where on the INTERNET, that it was released as an alternative to Java. But true, it was designed to access .net framework.
