I need help guys..
I installed Vista tonight on a separate partition than I had XP Pro on. Vista is up and running, but I lost the ability to dual boot XP Pro.
I had XP Pro 64-bit and XP Pro 32-bit installed. It freaked out today and for some reason, XP 32-bit started deleting some files. I'm not sure what happened, but I was just listening to some music at the time.
Anyways, I tried to boot under 64-bit and it stopped working also.
I was able to recover 32-bit, but not at 100%. For some reason, my sound card wasn't working. It had some driver conflict with Microsoft Kernel Audio Driver or something like that. Hence, I decided to install Vista.
So I resized a partition to create a new one, and then I installed Vista on the new partition. But I lost the ability to dual boot.
Is there anything I can do to be able to boot XP Pro again?
I have all my files and pictures on separate partitions, so its basically Windows that I lost. But I have some programs installed on XP that I would need to access. Also, I need to get to some browser bookmarks.
Thanks.
