    Stoping Firefox from displaying URL

On my site I have a SWF video player that plays movies in flash video format (flv).

I noticed that firefox as the video is loading displays messages such as "Transfering data from ..."

This is for anyking of external file loaded into the SWF.

This is not the case in IE.

Is there any way to stop FireFox from displaying this ?

You can try setting window.status to something else, but I, at least, don't allow scripts to modify the status line.

So the general answer is no, it's not possible. Why is that a bad thing, anyway?
