    Print Spooler

    I suspect I'm having problems with my Print Spooler service. (Windows XP)

    When I start it, it also starts the LEXBCES.EXE service. It is a Lexmark MarkVision service to configure a Lexmark printer server. With it, LEXPPS.exe is loaded as a process which allows the sharing of a lexmark printer over the network.

    Fine. But I don't have a Lexmark printer installed anymore. I don't have it listed in my Printers folder neither I have it on my hardware manager.

    I'm going to delete these files from the system... any better ideas?

    EDIT: Oh brother! If I try and stop LEXBCES.EXE, the Printer Spooler needs to be stopped too. What is going on here??

    Ahhh... bummer that!

    Deleted the spooler dependency on the registry and delete the whole lexmark files from system32. After reboot I was able to start the print spooler normally without anything clinging on its back. Did a registry clean and all is well.

    Software that doesn't clean after itself annoys me to no end.

    Software that doesn't clean after itself annoys me to no end.
    Ahh, and it seams that there are more and more of them out there all the time

    Kinda makes you wonder what the people that don't know how to go in and manually clean them out do?
