    booting a wireless laptop off my router

    i have a router and 1 roomate is using it and it's really slow right now, I want to know a way to kick other computers off the router other than mine and the one that is hardwired to it and the cable modem.

    It's a recent model linksys.

    Go into the firmware and set up a WEP or WPA key and just don't tell your roommate the password. However, if you're sharing the cable bill, don't be surprised if your roommate beats the crap out of you.
