    Mic cutting out

I have a headset that I bought not long ago and in CS:S it will cut out a lot? Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
    My computer is awesome.

No... what headset is it? By cut-out, do you mean it emits no sound or just a solid white noise? Also, do any other audio input components you've used have the same issue?

Ah the mic's today. . . nothing like a good ole Sure. . . but anywho. . . As you talk you send water vapor to a mic. . . With the magnets these days, it doesn't take a whole lot of water to render the magnets useless. . . my boy has already ruined several of our phones/headsets etc from his perpetual druel.

    This is the headset: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836504001

It cuts out like....periodically it loses bits of sound coming from me.

No other audio components I know have the same issues but I haven't had this computer for long.

And also it works fine when I using it for recording and stuff but the problem occurs when it comes to actually transmitting the signal.

I agree, the length of your sig is excessive. Could you please trim it a bit?

I have a similar problem (it keeps me from using ventrillo in EQ2). Try another mic if you can to see if it's a problem with the mic or the card. The problem with mine is a loose jack on my PC, where the connections don't fit snuggly enough for the little bugger to work.

Trimmed it up. I checked the connection. It only seems to cut out a while after i have been playing the game. If it was the card, don't you think I couldn't record anything as well?

Does it cut out immediately while playing or do you have to wait a while?

Personally I find Sly signature way more offensive.

The problem has been solved. Sly's signature is perfectly fine, so let's end this discussion, except for the OP's problem.

Ok. But is there a way some moderator can force him to give his signature to me?

It takes a while for the mic to begin to cut out.

Sorry, but does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be? I've tried googling it with no results.

    Your mic is broked...
Try it on another PC, if it works, I don't know; if it doesn't, read the above.
