    Angry Intel USB problem

    Hi.

Don't know if anyone can help me with this.

My pc's usb ports are malfunctioning.

I have determined that there is power in the ports, due to that when I connect my cellphone (Sony Ericsson W810i) to the port, it asks me if I want to switch to transfer mode or stay in phone mode. It also starts charging the batery. So there must be power on the ports.

Windows just does not pick up any device I connect on the usb.

Even my memory stick does not get picked up.

I have formated and reinstalled windows...user service pack 2...and still nothing.

I have reverted back to my original bios version....still nothing.

I downloaded drivers from alover the net...still nothing...

I downloaded the latest drivers for the mobo....still nothing....

In device management, Windows reports that all my Usb drivers and ports are working correctly

I dont know what to do next.

    Here is my system specs:

    WinXP Pro
    Intel P4 2.8 prescot chip
    Intel Bayfiled mobo D865GBF
    1GB Ram. (4 x 256 chips)
    80 gb SATA Maxtor HDD
    160 gb SATA2 Maxtor HDD
    ATI X1600 Pro AGP card
    Directx 9c

If you need any more system info, just let me know

    Thanks in advance
