Hm, are you sure that the cookies you are being sent really have anything to do with tracking your activity and aren't something mostly harmless (like a login cookie)? Some cookies are not dangerous, but Mario has the right idea: just set your browser to block all cookies and stop depending on third party software to do it all.

That sounds terrificly normal. I'm not terribly sure that you want spyware removers deleting DLLs. Doing that wantonly will just break things. This has nothing to do with advertising but once I allowed an uninstaller to delete a shared DLL and then afterwards my OS stopped drawing windows properly. Woops.

OK .... I know I got misunderstood and flamed for this before, but it doesn't change anything.

Advertising is perfectly OK when it is non-invasive.
Advertisements that track you around the Internet invade your privacy. End of story.

kryptkat, it sounds to me as if you've got a nasty infection there. If Spybot S&D won't deal with it, chances are you've got something really malicious such as Winfixer, Virtumondo, or whatever.

Head over to Malware Removal, read the rules, register and start a new thread in Malware Removal.

The good folk over there will talk you through everything you need to get you clear.

But they're right about the "meows": kryptkat, they don't look cool or funny, they really do only serve to make you look silly.
