    Changing OS on the fly.

    Here's the situation:

I have a distribution of linux on cd rom, and DOS on a floppy. I believe the distribution is called ISOLinux, and all the files on the cd total to about 3 Mb, so not that big at all.

The files on the cd are as follows:

    boot.cat
    boot.msg
    initrd.cgz
    isolinux.bin
    isolinux.cfg
    scsi.cgz
    vmlinuz (without extension)

When my computer first boots off the cd it's fine. However, I am wondering if it is possible, first from DOS (or even from windows!), to then run the cd.

It's seems unlikely, but I thought i'd ask.

Note: i don't know anything about linux.

alright, i did some searching, and i came across this site.

it says something about loadlin.exe, and how ti comes iwth most linux distributions. Is this something i can download as a single file?

edit: i spelt loadlin loadIN. That's why i couldn' find it. great. I'll see how this works out.

    alrighty. Problem solved.

you know when you have a problem, and you can't solve it? So you finally go decide to go ask someone but while your in the middle of explaining the problem aloud, you suddenly relize the answer!?
Ya, this was one of those situations, except on a forum.

So, thanks cboard for the helping me out!
