i have a flash movie for my website as the menu (to save bandiwdth and decrease loading times)

the problem is some people dont like to have flash enabled for whatever reason (personally i dont think theres an actual reason to but people do it anyways)

I been googling around and I havent found anything that can solve my problem. i have 4 graphical links which in the event that the flash movie doesnt load that all 4 of them will load instead

The more clueful sites have a main page with two links labelled "flash" and "non-flash"

The last think I need is some jackass advert playing stupid audio effects (they would call it music).

Not to mention the additional security threat of an additional active content format which has had exploits in the past.

And the privacy problems of very poorly documented "shared objects" which everyone else knows as cookies, but which don't show up as such.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

And people with slow connections who don't want to have to load a 10 meg flahs file before they can do anything.

And people who just hate flahs site layouts in general, and the way they always miss important things out like a back button.
