any A brand name would do. For a server reliability is (almost) always more important than performance.
Don't get the fastest anything, get the item with the longest MTBF and the longest warranty period.

i was googling ram before and i was seeing stuff about best ram to OC and stuff, most topics i picked up were about building machines for gaming not servers though

is there any brand that namely is known for its performance/speed (that actualy makes a noticably difference), or i guess more importantly brands with a high known MTBF time?

ive never been inside the ram loop of things, ive always just bought medium cost ram that seemed to be a popular brand and popped some in, but since im trying build a server and its going to be expensive im trynig to make sure everything in it is the best i can get (without being redicilosuly priced).

you can't go wrong with Kingston, they're pretty much the market leader in RAM technology.
