I had this same thing a few weeks ago. Did you try to do a system restore back to an earlier date? Thats what fixed it for me. Its annoying isnt it? Hopefully you can fix this problem i remember pulling my hair out trying to fix it. Good luck!

I looked for the registry key but couldn't find any file like the websites described. I think my spyware doctor deleted them already but i just can't understand why the pop up still on. I've tried system restore but didn't work.
Well, thanks guys. I figured i need to format my computer anyway. Tried to clean out stuff. Sure the backup process was a pain but now my computer is clean.
Hello, testing testing. Everthing is running perfectly...for now

I hope you didn't merely forget to restart after removing the trojan!
Anyway, that autoruns tool is excellent, as it will detect every possible thing that is set to run on startup. You merely have to identify the culprit by inspection or elimination.
Just encountered this spyware. It was rather annoying, and modified many registry settings. Spywareblaster and SpyBot helped me remove it with minimum amount of work. There were a lot of leftover files when i checked my system folders, sorted by date.
