    Quick Question

Hi guys. I have a quick question. ( Well, you probably could have guessed that. )

At school, I downloaded an executable file known as " Word Extractor. " But when I tried to open it, it says : This feature has been disabled by your system administartor. Cannot run selected file due to restrictions on the network. ( Or words to that effect. I assume they installed that restriction because of viruses and the like. )

So basically I can't run an executable. Is there any other file type that I can convert it to, to prevent the restriction ?

Thanks for any help, and Cya all again.

Unless a monkey programmed the school's security system, I'm sure that won't work.

    > Word Extractor
First google match is "Word Extractor free download. Word Extractor is a hacking tool ..."
If you have a real genuine reason for installing this, then go convince your administrators.

To answer Salem's question, I do have a genuine reason, which my admin knows of. We have discussed it, but he says that he can't lift the restriction because letting viruses loose isn't at all very clever. ( That's other pupils viruses btw, not mine. Just checkin'. )

A monkey is probably a bit harsh, but I must admit, knowing the admins, this batch thing might work. Anyone mind tellin' me what they are ? I need to be able to run that program, so I can download a compiler.

Oh yeah. I forgot, you didn't know that. Well, I tried to download a compiler at school, and write a program for a project, but I didn't have enough disk space. And, well ... it's a long story.

So, any "batch info" I should know ?
    Thanks.

Good class architecture is not like a Swiss Army Knife; it should be more like a well balanced throwing knife.
