    Choosing motherboard

Helo, guys, I need your recommendations about choosing motherboard. I need to choose between these two motherboards:

    http://uk.asus.com/products4.aspx?mo...1=3&l2=15&l3=0

    Thank you

Go with the one that supports PCIX (video cards are cheaper and more powerful). Plus, that one appears to be SLI ready, which is a major bonus if you really want a video boost in the future.

Heck their both ASUS so I can't see you going wrong with either of them.

All my boards are ASUS - they kick major arse.

ABIT just beat them out in my game mag, but that's probably cuz they paid the editor off or something.

Thanks for replies, I have one more question.
One friend of mine had problems with graphics card with this nvidia chipset motherboard.
i plan to buy this SVGA card:
    SVGA ASUS EAX550/TD RADEON X550, PCIeX16, 128MB
but he suggested to me not to combine ATI RADEON with nvidia chipset. I don't belive I'm going to hav sam problems because both components are from Asus. Do you know for dome of this problems?
I didn't find similar on the Internet. Doy you have any suggestions?

I personally don't recommend ATI cards to anyone, because they seem to have more problems than the Geforce counterparts. Besides, it can't hurt to have the nvidia chipset paired with an nvidia card.

I recommend either the Geforce 6600 or 6800 series. I have the low-end 6600 (non-GT, 128mb) and it works great on all the latest games. And I only paid $120 USD for it. I game with other people that have mid-range AGP cards that they paid $350 for and I keep up with them just fine.

I have used an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro with an nVidia motherboard chipset (nForce 2) without a problem - it has worked fine through graphically demanding games without exhibiting any drops in framerate.

So... don't buy all the bull.

True. But since AGP will be likely phased out over time, it'd save an upgrade later to get PCI Express now.

I've heard of quite a number of issues with ATI and nVidia chipsets. But it has yet to happen to me.

Thanks for replies guys, I have bought A8NSLI, CPU ATHLON 3000+ and that ASUS RADEON video card, so I'll see in the next few days how things will work...
