Anyone know of a good free PDF editor for windows? I'm looking for one that can allow me to open a PDF and add in text. Mainly what I'll be using it for is for job applications that are in PDF format but don't allow you to type the information in.

Thanks salem, however I'm looking to edit an existing PDF, not write out as PDF.
I did find a shareware version at http://www.cadkas.com/ that seems pretty good.
I'm sure you could probably find something on sourceforge.
EntropySink. You know you have to click it.
I doubt it, even with Adobe Acrobat Professional, you can't just open a PDF and start adding text, it's not meant as a document editor. You need to create a file and then convert it to a PDF.
The program I linked earlier is actually really nice. Makes filling out those forms a lot simplier. Too bad its not free.
Then use it. Or are trying to get someone else to comment about it?
Actually its called letting others know that I've found something and that it works. So that if someone else is looking for something similar they know where to look.
Also it was a reply to rockytriton so pretty much said it couldn't be done.
filling out forms and editing a PDF file are two completely different things
