Would anybody care to give a good recommendation for a router?

Yep - just a plain router - I want to share my internet connection
Eh, just get a linksys with the speed capabilities you desire.
{RTFM, KISS}
The cheapest one you can find with the capabilities you need, provided that it is made by either a company you have heard of or one that has more than one model.
Away.
Linksys fan here as well. Wired or wireless, they're great.
meanwhile, if you're on windows, that could be easily done, with a pc as server
Linksys or netgear are good. I have a linksys and can't really complain. My network doesn't work however...and no one has ever been able to fix it, even on networking forums so who knows...might not be linksys problem.
I use a D-Link 604 and I have no complaints!

BLASPHEMY! Begone from my C board, you foul lover of objects, before the gods of C cast you into the void as punishment for your weakness! There is no penance for saying such things in my presence. You are henceforth excommunicated. Never return to this house, filthy heretic!
From my experiences with networking and routers, I absolutely hate Linksys and D-Link for many reasons which I don't feel like typing up.
My favorite is netgear. Belkins are also nice.
If you are really interested in routers and have lots of money than get a cisco router... Lol they are so damn expensive, but they are really good.
