If you already have programming experienced, the official Java Tutorial is probably the best tutorial to learn Java.
If you can, pick up the book, The Java Programming Language.
For specific topics, like Swing, servlets or applets, google.
i suggest you try your local computer store...computer books are out of date before they even get printed. that makes it it real easy to find cheap computer books. i got O'rielly's "Learning Java", a 660 page book for $5.99. they also had quiete a variety of other stuff...unfortunately, a lot of it is either introductory to low-intermediate material, or very specialized (i.e. Perl/Tk rather than just Perl)..nonetheless, it's worth a look. you might even try online..i found the java book at Micro Center, it was in the store, but they might have some sort of online clearance.
i seem to have GCC 3.3.4
But how do i start it?
I dont have a menu for it or anything.
