That's the second time you've waited until later in the thread to explain why or how you're going about what you're doing. It helps to know those details in order to help explain the solution better. If you had said in the beginning that this was the best idea you had, we could have suggested other things to do as well.
As far as the first misconception, it would have helped to know that you were trying to access the files via FTP to help understand the problem.
