I'm trying to install windows 98 on my new computer. I poped in the startup disk, and tried to partition my disk. In the BIOS it says my HDD is 80Gb, but when I partition, it says maximum space is 12,624Mb. HELP!!!(Please)

Sorry, I fixed that, but now it won't let me format. When it finishes, it starts writing out the FAT but it fails. It says there is an error.
What kind of HD do you have? If you are using that HD as the master you need to check if the jumpers are correct, if you using that HD as a slave then again you need to check the jumpers to see in what position can be used as what you want it. Either way you must have a manual or if you dont, visit the HD site maker and download the documenation. Its all about the jumpers.
When no one helps you out. Call google();
did you try formatting with FAT32?
