My Linksys router keeps locking my connection!

My linksys router keeps locking my connection after I download too much. :|

Should I return it? I've already done the following things:

1) Called my ISP to ask if there's a stable connection going to my house

2) Upgraded the firmware on the router.

The thing is, I talked to people with the same router and they can download a lot, but they need to restart the router every few days. I was thinking maybe that's how all linksys routers are. The linksys router is wired, and has the option of wireless connections.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

if you can return it, do return it. linksys is the absolute worst hardware i have ever used.

....and have you tried calling the customer 'service'? good luck trying to understand them. oh yea, and good luck with them diagnosing the problem. i called a good 7 or 8 times before trying to get my wireless card (re-)installed. EVERY single time they asked me which OS i was using - AT LEAST once per phone call. finally, after the 8th call, they told me that the drivers aren't supported on windows ME and they do not have any drivers which are.

Linksys has some of the best hardware on the market and is partners with Cisco, so I would have to assume that your case is rare. Also, you didn't exactly help the OP and you weren't even talking about the same hardware.

To the OP, the only thing I can say is that if you can return it, do so. I would recommend getting another linksys, however. I have a Linksys router and modem and they both work great.
