    win password

On my work computer after every 2 minutes if idle computer logs off and I have to press ctrl+alt+del and enter the password everytime to log in back. So is there a script or something that will let me press a buttion on and it automatically logs me in?. I have my excel program open all the time for work purposes, so is there a macro or something like that I can set?

    Thanks

Right click on desktop -Properties -Screen Saver -Power - Advanced.

Or while your on the Power tab, just put turn off monitor/hard drive/hibernate set to Never
    Your done.

go to user settings and make a new user as admin priv. any user can make an admin acct, then just sign into it and change what you need lol. Gotta love windows security eh?

Huh? You can only create a user account if your account has administrator privileges.

jat421, your IT administrator has set up and locked your computer down with specific security policies. Trying to hack around the security measures will probably be frowned upon. If the policy is hindering your work (2 minutes does seem excessive, unless you're working on top secret information on a laptop), you should discuss it with them.

Not true, i use this backdoor all the time to fix lockouts and help kids get around parent controls.

I agree with RoD on this. People at my school somtimes make new accounts for themselves so they can do stuff that would be frowned upon if it was traced back to them. The admin has disabled just about everything he can and you are still able to make new accounts.

The best way to fix this is to go ask your network administrator. Do not attempt anything that will compromise your job, and hacking the system will compromise your job. Most network admins now, use logging tools to monitor the people and see if they are doing their job. One of the most common tools used are of course, the keyloggers. You wont even know that they are installed in the system and they would send their data through the network connection to the admins machine. Be cautious.

While I don't condone doing things which are in violation with rules set by the admin, I must say that the chance of being caught is very negligible. In my experience, people never get found out for something unless someone tells on them.

I would be interested in seeing this. Only administrator accounts can create new users on my PC's. Which Windows OS's allow this Rod?
