    Spell Checker

    Is there a way to turn off spell checker in MS Word 2000? We have to do a lot of latin translations and have to type them up. Please do not tell me to just go and use notepad, or just to ignore the marks. Posts like that really dont help.

    Tools->Options

    Click the Spelling and Grammar tab. Have fun.

    Or create a new style for your latin translations only, and set the language for that style to "none".
    Then all your normal stuff is spell checked, and your special stuff is "as is".

    I use this when putting snippets of code into documentation - marvellous

    If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
