    Windows Eplorer File Highlighting

I have an odd question and it maybe best placed here. In windows explorer, under XP, the file list view can be changed from Thumbnail, Tiles, Icons, List, and Details. My question is, how do you control the color of the selection while using the Detail view? The whole column becomes a color by selecting the column "Name", "Size", "Type", etc.

    is this what you meant?

Go into the display properties then to appearance tab then to the advanced settings.

Sorry for the sketchy description. Hopefully the image that is attached to this message will help. (It took me a while to figure the image attachment)

How do I change the grey area to black?

If it can be done, it'll be from the method sand_man showed you.

When the color themes change in windows that particular area does change also. After tampering with all of the Registry values in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors and I have come up with nothing. Perhaps this configuration is not in the registry.

Using RegMonitor, I attempted to scan the registry for the key and value being called, but I need more time with this one. There is an awful lot of calls to the registry on my system. So far nothing.

    Thanks for your help sand_man.

Probably not, but I am a little on the OCD side and it rRrReEeEaAaALlLlLlLlYyYy bothers me.

Well... if you figure it out it would be a BIG help.
