printing directory in windows

Hi all,

Just need some help with printing directory with usergroups and permission on windows 2k server. It would be nice if i could download a freeware tool. Any recommendations?

Does cacls *.* do what you want? If not, maybe you can find something on this cacls page. Otherwise, could you post a sample of the output you are looking to get?

What format are you looking to get the security information in. Are you looking for effective rights (ie. including rights inherited from parent directories) or only the rights specifically defined on that object?

anonytmouse : rights to the specific define object. Do you have other tools i can download? Perhaps exporting to word/csv/html file?

We are planning to migrate the fileserver, and i need to document the directory structure.

I had a look around and found the open-source utility SetACL. A backup and restore script can be found here. Let me know how if it works out.
