Text size problems with internet viewers

Lately I've been having a really annoying problem. About every 2-3 days randomly both of my internet viewers (IE and AOL) suddenly switch to the largest fonts on their own. AOL is a real pain because I have to reset the computer for the changes to take affect after I fix it. Anyone know what could cause this? I've run all sorts of spyware and virus checking but nothing pops up. I'm using Windows XP Home.

    Font gnomes?

That sounds odd. Try another browser and see if you have the same issue.

    >>Try another browser and see if you have the same issue.<<

It happens with AOL and Internet Explorer at the same time. I'd hate to download another browser since my family lives off AOL.

    No.

if your spyware isn't getting anything, you might try reinstalling your browsers. AOL and IE are pretty popular god knows there are alot of malware out there.

FYI reinstalling IE won't remove malware that registers itself as an activex or BHO.

Are you sure your ctrl button isnt stuck? I know ctrl+mouse scroll will change the text size (in fact, I had this problem and realized my ctrl button kept getting stuck...)

....but if they happened at the same time then both browsers would have to be up at the same time? (or am I misinterpreting this wrong in which case I am, I am really sorry (dont want to start another flame war over something stupid i said!)).

Hmm I didn't think of that...But maybe he just means that both of them change sizes (not at the same time)

Actually I never use IE, my family uses AOL all of the time. What happens is suddenly out of the blue AOL will go to largest font. For some stupid reason AOL 9.0 doesn't have anywhere that I can find that allows you to change font size, so I open up Internet Explorer to change it there. When I do this, I notice that IE also has largest font size. When I fix it from the IE menu the fonts are fine in IE but I need to reboot for the effect to take place in AOL. So this happens without IE even open yet still affects IE. I reinstalled AOL and it still does it.

Unfortunately its not the control button. Pushing it and rolling the mouse wheel doesn't do anything in AOL.

To be honest, I don't think its an AOL problem so changing my browser won't help.

I'll try installing SP2 and see if it helps.
