my friend wanted it becaudse when his computer started up it said it coudlnt find the file and those on startup messages are annoying, he found someone who had it though and they sent it to him

I had a spyware incident that might be relavant to your situation. After installing and running Ad-aware (an anti-spyware prog), I kept receiving a similar start-up message (though I can't remember exactly what file it said was missing). Later I installed and ran SpyBot (another anti-spyware program) which fixed the problem. I guess Ad-aware just needed a little help from another program to clean up all the junk. Dunno, but worked for me.
