Apps that act "differently" in XP SP2

Here is a list (from Microsoft) of Programs that have conflicts with SP2. It's a long list including AOL, Nero, Starcraft, and even many M$ Products!

Apps that act "differently" in XP SP2

I also find it funny they put "Kazaa" on there.

BTW, if you find this helpful/useful/interesting, could you please rate me up? I know this seems shallow, but I'd like to have a good rating, and I try to rate anyone that helps out. I have been rated down for asking, with comments like,
"He asked for a rating. Bad move"

But you know what? I'm being honest, and if I get rated down for trying to help out, for wanting a virtual rating that is free and takes 3 seconds to do, then so be it. Thanks in advance.

Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

Nope. CA hasn't mentioned anything, either.

just seems like firewall issues... you should probably be able to turn off the firewall and they'll go away... there were some issues with the original XP firewall anyway...

    this little bit amuses me:

it sort of is...I think it depends on the key that was used. A 'friend' of mine used a program that replaced winlogon and some other dll so that when you activated by phone it would accept any set of numbers that were valid...not compared against the key, so any old key would work....this 'friend' had it work on his main box just fine, but another pc the was 'activated' the same way wouldn't work with that key on sp2.

But if you're really worried, the activation has been cracked since sp2 was an rc1 release.
